Port Isabel, Texas

Tonight, I came across a couple of video clips of charro or mariachi singers I met while eating lunch in Port Isabel, Texas only 5 months before leaving home for good. In the first clip, they're sitting down with me at my table singing a modified song so that it has my name in it. If you listen closely, you can hear me giggling in the background.

I published their photo in the Port Isabel - South Padre Island Press with the caption below:

"TODA LA VIDA" That's how long Luis Esquivel has been singing and playing guitar. Tony Munis, 66, and Luis Esquivel, 57, two Brownsville Mariachi singers who specialize in Ranchero and Charro music will be playing for tips at Harbor View Restaurant in Port Isabel Fri Jan 28. The duo will be wearing traditional charro costumes. Their performance takes them all over the Valley and Matamoros, including an annual appearance at Charro Days with "Mr. Amigo".
