Here's some big news. We're on our way to becoming permanent Australian residents! We just got letters from Barrick confirming that they'll assist us with our application for permanent residency. The only hitch is that we have to work for the company for 2 years from our date of commencement. The way things are going, staying another year will be easy.
This means that soon we'll be able to start thinking about buying a home (or at least some land for our caravan).
I haven't posted in a month because my camera is broken, so it's just not as fun. Here's an old photo of a goanna that meanders through the core yard at work every day during the summer, in search of tasty bugs.
