Mike and I are back at work, but more than a little preoccupied with thoughts of home. My mom and sister, along with so many others, decided to stay on South Padre Island despite the hurricane spinning directly towards them. Finally this morning, my mom called to say they're safe, but I'll keep worrying until the sun is shinning and the bead shop is open again.
